EDGE
EDGE is for sixth and seventh-grade students and meets in the parish hall from 5:00-7:00 PM on the Sundays above. At EDGE, teens will learn about the beauty and richness of the Catholic faith by working through different topics in small groups. Some EDGE nights include games, while all include a different form of prayer, often done in a large group setting.
An optional dinner is served each week from 5:00-5:30 PM, and small group formation takes place from 5:30-7:00 PM.
Youth Group Bibles and T-Shirts: St. Francis de Sales youth receive their own Bible and youth group t-shirt in sixth grade. If you have a student in seventh or eighth grade who has not received a Bible or t-shirt, please contact McKinzie.
SFDS Family Formation Commitment
We recognize parents/guardians as the primary catechists of their children. As we join together in the faith formation of your child, we can only strengthen the Catholic life you lead at home. We support you in this ministry, but we cannot replace you. Rather, we seek to share with you in the role of imparting the true teachings of the Catholic faith to your children. We invite all St. Francis de Sales parents/guardians to partner in our pledge to faith and spiritual formation by:
- Praying with your child(ren) daily and modeling prayer for them
- Participating weekly in Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation (8/15/25, 12/8/25, 12/25/25, and 1/1/26)
- Attending faith formation sessions regularly
- Reading and meditating on Scripture as a family
- Attending Confession regularly as a family to receive Christ’s healing mercy (once a month recommended)
- Living as the Body of Christ through generous self-giving of one’s time, talent, and treasure in our parish and local communities
