It is a world-wide organization of Catholic men and women, over 18 years of age, who offer services to aid in performing spiritual works in the parish and local community.  This is done by placing themselves under the banner of Mary, so that with her help, they may develop greater holiness in their own lives as well as spread a deeper devotion to her among others.  We meet each Wednesday morning in Robert Martz Hall at 10AM (See the weekly calendar in the bulletin).

Auxillary Members:

  • Promote Christ's work by prayer (daily rosary and prayers from the Legion Tessera - prayer leaflet)
  • Often volunteer works of mercy under Legion guidance (such as volunteering at the soup kitchen downtown KC, helping with parish functions and teaching religious education)

Active Members:

  • Fulfill any work assigned by pastor providing it is conformity with Legion rules
  • Visit homes, nursing homes and hospitals
  • Make bereavement calls on behalf of the pastor
  • "What is most necessary... is to have in each parish a group of laymen... virtuous, enlightened, determined and really apostolic."
