Supporting your parish . . .

St. Francis de Sales Parish, just like the first Church community in Jerusalem (Acts 2:42-47), relies on its members to support its life and work by giving of their time, energy, financial support, and prayers. There are many opportunities to use your God-given gifts and talents to further the mission of Christ here at St. Francis de Sales. Of course, your hard-earned dollars are needed, too. Your monetary contributions are carefully overseen by the Finance Council, and it is used in many ways: meeting the church’s operating expenses, paying off our church building debt, salaries, providing Catholic education, supporting the Church’s wider mission, evangelizing, and helping others in need. To support the Church financially is to sacrifice for the mission of Jesus, but it's also our own generous response to God in thanksgiving for all the blessings given to us. Regular giving is the best way for members to support the Church since it allows the parish to have ongoing cash flow and enables us to meet the financial needs throughout the year. We offer three convenient ways to give financially to the parish that track your contributions. These are reported to you annually for your tax preparation.

"God is more glorified when we unite with our  brethren and neighbors and join our offerings to theirs." –St. Francis de Sales

1. Church Envelopes:

After you register in the parish, offering envelopes will be mailed monthly to your home. They will already have your name printed on them, and they are dated for each particular weekend. Put your check or cash in the envelope and bring it to Mass, placing it in the collection basket as it makes its way through the church. Please use your temporary envelopes until the regular ones arrive to your house by mail.

2. Online Giving:

Online Giving is a convenient and secure option for folks who wish to contribute either as a one-time donation or as a recurring automatic payment.  Online Giving offers us:

  • Freedom from writing checks.
  • The flexibility of electronic bank draft, or payment by Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
  • The opportunity to align your giving with your pay periods (weekly, every other week, monthly, etc).
  • Allows you to give even when you’re out of town.
  • Offering amounts can easily be adjusted.
  • Credit card options allows you to take advantage of benefits such as air mileage and cash bonuses.
  • Allows our parish to have more accurate budget forecasting.
  • Your bank statement provides an itemized list of your transactions for your tax records.

To sign up go back back to the Online Giving Tab on this site and follow the steps.

 3. Online Bill Pay:

You need to be set up for on-line banking with your bank. If you don’t have this access, there are some simple steps to set up your On-Line Bill Pay at your banks website. You may find using this means of giving to be a great convenience; it eliminates the need for remembering your envelope and checkbook each Sunday before Mass. Even on weeks that you are unable to attend Mass, On-Line Bill Pay ensures that you still support your parish family when you're away.

Once you are on-line with your bank you should find an option for “Auto Bill Pay” or “On-Line Bill Payments. Here you would add St. Francis de Sales Church as a payee. Enter the church address as 900 Ida, Lansing, KS, 66043. Our phone number is (913) 727-3742. Any special comments regarding your donation (such as Sunday Offering, Built on Rock, or other particular collection) may be noted in the memo line on the bill payment input screen. Once you have entered the church as a payee you can schedule one-time or recurring payments to be sent to the church. Payments will come to the parish office in the form of a check according to the payment date that is authorized.

If you have questions about any of the options above, please contact Jeanne Im, in the parish Business Office or via email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
