One of the priorities of the first parish in Jerusalem was commitment to the "apostles' teaching” (Acts 2:42). Those
early Christians were continuously learning how to live the Gospel and to apply the teachings of Jesus to everyday life.
We here at St. Francis de Sales parish also share this same ancient priority. Our vision is one of "lifelong faith formation," providing an environment and opportunities for everyone to grow in their own personal faith development.
To that end we offer a superb religious education program for our children (K-8). We are also co-sponsors of Xavier Elementary School and Immaculata High School, which provides an excellent Catholic education.
We also have an active youth group for young people ages 14-18. Bible Study, small group faith sharing and other formation opportunities are available for our adults because faith formation does not end when we are Confirmed.
For adults who find it more advantageous to deepen their faith through online learning, we suggest they check the

The word that summarizes what we do is an ancient one: "catechesis." It means to "echo" –– to pass on from generation to generation the faith received from Jesus. We hope all parishioners will avail themselves of the opportunities offered, because the goal of lifelong faith formation is to deepen within each person a strong, vibrant and abiding faith.
